It is okay to not be okay, life hands us challenges that we might not always be able to work through by
ourselves. While these situations happen, our days can be affected, and our thoughts and emotions can
overwhelm us in the process. These waves can consume our day-to-day life and impact our abilities to
be our best selves. Although it is not always the easiest to admit we need help, admitting it is the first
step to know that although you are not okay now, does not mean that these waves we face will last
forever.
I have always been drawn to counselling; I have the desire to help others. Advocating Hope is a great
place to grow in this profession and work with clients to support their needs and share their journey
through this counselling experience. My treatment styles include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. These teach self-forgiveness, thought processing, dealing with
difficult emotions, and moving towards a solution throughout the journey. My goal is to validate your
struggles and affirm that you have strengths that will help you not be consumed by whatever is
engulfing you.
I want to commend your courage for seeking counselling and knowing what could be best for yourself
and work towards those goals. I hope to help you through your journey and look at counselling as an
important steppingstone to a better you and stop those waves from keeping you down.
